Airbnb was looking to implement a mentoring community within their offices and decided to partner with Mentorcloud, who had already built a comparable website. Because their employees have busy schedules, they wanted to simplify the platform and stick with the primary features.
The new site would focus on the mentorship section only, where Mentees can schedule sessions offered by Mentors.
With the existing site in place, much of the organization and layout was already determined, but it was imperative that the site feel on-brand. Airbnb’s existing brand elements were introduced thoughtfully and allowed the site to feel like an extension of their own.
Emails were specially designed to keep users in the loop so they wouldn’t have to login to check the status of things. They were designed to be quick and easy to read with straightforward CTAs.
Once the platform was completed, an administrative dashboard was designed to provide a view of exactly how the site is being used and by who. This data will be used to inform any future updates, providing clear metrics on the success of the platform.
